Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley

Washtenaw County's Habitat for Humanity is partnering with local artist Suellen J. Parker and Mainstreet Ventures Restaurants in a deliciously artistic summer fundraiser June 23 - 30.

Desserts on Parker's custom plates will be sold for $40 each with proceeds to aid in rehabbing a home for a local family in need. Each of the five restaurants will feature a different Parker original. (See rotating box below for all five plate designs)

About the Artist

Suellen J. Parker is an attorney and local artist in our community. She is the owner of Case Island Glass and creates her pieces by a process known as "glass fusing." The process involves heating carefully sized pieces of glass with the same COE to high temperatures, causing the pieces to melt or "fuse" together. Each piece is hand-made and fused, often involving several separate firings.
