About Us
Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Washtenaw County, Michigan. Our mission is to enrich our whole community through a legacy of affordable homeownership for low-income families. Together with our Habitat homeowners, our volunteers, and our supporters, we are committed to making affordable housing a matter of conscience and action, right here in our own community.
Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley (HHHV) is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization that works to provide affordable homeownership opportunities for hardworking and deserving families in Washtenaw County. We build and renovate homes in partnership with families who demonstrate need and a willingness to work with Habitat to purchase a home of their own. Read more about who we are!
Over the last two years, we have seen foreclosures hit Washtenaw County in numbers we’ve never seen before. We have also seen more and more families denied an opportunity to own a home through the traditional housing market. And Habitat is doing something about it. Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley (HHHV) services Washtenaw County and is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). The relationship between local Habitat affiliates like us and HFHI is unique. HFHI provides operation guidelines; however, each affiliate is independent and governed by their own Boards of Directors.
