Habitat Scrip Program
Here are some great ways to earn money for Habitat with very little effort. By using a rechargeable Kroger* gift card (purchased from H4H for $5) HHHV will receive 5% on all your purchases. It’s easy to do:
- Ask the clerk to check the balance on your card
- Recharge the card if necessary (you can add up to $500 at one time)using cash, check or your favorite credit card
- Make your purchase using the H4H/Kroger card
- 5% goes to help Habitat
- Save your card for your next visit because it’s just like cash
So you’re not a regular Kroger shopper. Here are some ways that you can still help:
- Get cards for friends and neighbors that do go “Krogering”. This can include Kroger’s in other states
- Stop by Kroger’s for your staples and stock up on sale items
- Purchase gift cards to other stores. Each Kroger has carousel or end cap with gift cards for over 150 different stores.
- Purchase $200 of Shell cards monthly and we earn $120/yr
- Buy cards for gift giving – Macy’s, Nike, iTunes
- Take your date for a night on the town after buying your Outback Steakhouse (which has great salmon by the way) and also a card for National Amusements (Showcase)
- Before the next home improvement project buy a stack of Home Depot cards and help a Habitat family enjoy a home of their own
There are lots of great ways to use the program and all we need is participation. If we can get just 250 people to spend $50/week we can earn enough to sponsor a rehab project each year. Sure it takes a little effort to ask someone to participate, but they are spending the money anyway. Why not help us make a difference?
