Restore associate/Truck driver
The ReStore Associate/Truck Driver will unload donations, place and organize inventory on the sales floor, work with volunteers, run cash register, answer phones, drive 16-20 foot box truck and pick up donations from across Washtenaw County. You must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and be able to work Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm. 40 hours per week. You must have a clean driving record and have (or be able to attain) a chauffeurs license to drive the ReStore truck.
Job Task and Responsibilities:
Excellent customer service with donors, assist customer with inquiries or complaints, and provide information to promote Habitat’s mission.
Receive donation drop offs, assist in loading/unloading trucks in a safe and timely manner; as needed and provide donation tax receipts.
Supervise, train and work with volunteers in daily tasks.
Assist in moving inventory items, keeps dock and drop off area space in a neat, safe, clean and workable condition.
Ability to relate to a variety of people; flexibility to perform other tasks as assigned for smooth daily operations; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Answer phone and return customer voice and text messages in a timely manner.

Assist with responding to social media comments, messages and more. Also update social media pages as needed.
Drive a ReStore 16-20ft box truck picking up donations across Washtenaw County from individuals, businesses and organizations. Have clean driving record. Must have or be able to attain a chauffeur’s license (we will reimburse you if you need a chauffeur’s license and will train for driving the truck).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics:
Solid application of interpersonal and communication skills, internally and externally with groups and individuals.
A history of successful adapting to rapid changing conditions with unexpected shift in priorities.
Basic computer skills and experience with social media, especially Facebook.
Ability to safety lift and position up to 50 pounds. Job could entail occasional bending, kneeling, and reaching often in awkward or tiring position. Bulk of time spent standing, walking or otherwise assisting customers.
A relationship builder with a professional image in speech and demeanor in interactions with others and multiple venues and scenarios.
Must be comfortable handling money and operating cash register.
Must possess the ability to plan, organize and handle multiple functions simultaneously and communicate clearly and courteously, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able or willing to get a chauffer’s license and drive a 16-20ft box truck.
