Catholic Build
In 2025, area Catholic churches partnered together for the Catholic Build to help Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley serve a local Washtenaw County family of low- to mid-income in need of decent, safe, and affordable housing. Partners align their church with our mission by donating to help cover costs, and volunteer to help build a home for a local family. As a Catholic Build partner, congregations come together to raise walls, funds, and prayers to make a difference right here in our own community.

Join our Catholic Build with a donation of $1,000+ and gain a closed volunteer build day(s) for your congregation to bring members to volunteer on an active work site (no construction experience necessary) at a Habitat home in Ypsilanti, Michigan. In 2025, the combined efforts of St. Mary Catholic Church of Chelsea, St. Francis of Assisi in Ann Arbor, and St. Joseph Catholic Church of Dexter resulted in over $17,000 raised and hands-on volunteer support for the Hasan family’s home. Click here to read the Hasan family’s bio.
2023 Catholic Build
In 2023, St. Mary Catholic Church of Chelsea, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church - Ann Arbor and St. Joseph Catholic Church of Dexter donated more than $20,000 collectively and volunteered to support the Lubuku Omari Samuel Family’s home. Click here to watch the dedication video.
